Our First Anniversary!

It's so weird to say first anniversary since we've been together for 9 years! It's also nice to have firsts again! Happy Anniversary Babey! I love you! This year has been wonderful and I've enjoyed every minute of it! The good the bad and the ugly haha. I cannot imagine my life any other way than with you in it. I sure did not think that the year would go by as quickly as it did. One year down a lifetime to go!

My Fearless Bridals (aka TTD)

In July I was fortunate to be able to work with the amazing Rachel from Merge Weddings! She has this project called Juxtaposition going on and I was able to wear my wedding dress again and parade around Boston! It was so much fun!

I took pictures at the New England Aquarium, Fanueil Hall, and George's Island. People keep asking if I was getting married, if I was in a magazine and where my groom was (Cory unfortunately had to work). I felt like a celebrity and I felt beautiful!

Rachel is going to be publishing a book with these photos and I'm so excited about it!! Here's the link to my photos!!

Happy Birthday Bosco!!

Today's my puppy's first birthday! And I'm so excited Cory and I were joking that maybe we should have a birthday party for him next week (Bruno's birthday is a week from today). Although I think Cory was pretty serious, lol.

My Sunroom

Before I painted it was ugly wood paneling!! I thought I'd be green and just paint over it since we had what I thought was white paint in the basement that was left here when we bought the house.

When I opened up the "white" paint it was actually yellow and that wasn't going to work since my mom is making me curtains that are very girly but they're white and light blue (I'll post pics; i promise)

After: The room looks so much bigger! I love it! The painted wood paneling gives the sunroom character.

I can't wait to finish the room I'd like to add a daybed to it for some seating!

New Bathroom!!

So I came into some extra money when I left my old job and decided to spend that money on a 1/2 bath for our home. I figured why not invest that money so that when we do sell we'll make more on our property. We are putting in our 1/2 bath in our laundry room we wanted to put in a shower but it was going to cost us too much b/c we'd have to dig through the foundation in order to make it drain properly.

Our home only has one bathroom and it totally stinks to only have a bathroom. Whenever we have friends over there's always a line not to mention we have a walk-out basement so by having the extra bathroom in the basement no one really has to come upstairs to use the other bathroom and it would so help to keep our home clean (mud always gets tracked in)

I'll post more pics after we put up the sheet rock and paint!! Help me pick a color for my laundry and 1/2 bath! I'd love for it to be pink and girly since I do most of the laundry!

Kiss 108 Concert --NKOTB

So on Sunday May 18, 2008 after loving the NKOTB since I was a child I finally got to see them in concert! I can't even describe how excited I was! It's all I could talk about I was basically shaking in anticipation. I pulled out my old t-shirt and brought it with me -- not that I could fit into it anyway.

When they came out I screamed my head off! I lost my voice for 2 days; it was so worth it! The guys still look fantastic! Donnie is so HOT!!! They brought the house down! Everybody was screaming. I even yelled at a teenager walking in front of me b/c she was taking so long to walk past me and I couldn't see the guys. I said "Will you hurry up I've waiting 20 years to see these guys!"

My best friend said to me that she thought I was more excited for the NKOTB than my own wedding! She may have been right, lol. Cory of course doesn't understand what it's like to finally see your childhood crush after so many years! I had so much fun that day. I'm planning on going to another NKOTB concert.

I still cannot believe they're going on tour! =)

OH and the rest of the concert was really good too!

It's been a while

I started my new job on Monday and it's going really well! The kiddos are adorable! It was really hard to leave Oscar and Nason and I am still having a hard time. I cried so much on my last day =( I hung out w/ the kids until they went to bed and read them some stories. Liza and David left me to tuck them in and say my goodbyes and I just held them in my arms and rocked in their rocking chair. I was doing pretty good until I opened the door to leave and Oscar said "Buh-bye Marilyn" and I lost it.

Those kids were such a big part of my life it's so hard to not be able to see them everyday and get their endless hugs and kisses! I'll hopefully go and visit them soon b/c I obviously miss them tons!

My new job the kids are Josh and Jill and they are many perks! I have Fridays OFF! I know you all are very jealous! And they have an elliticipal trainer and treadmill so I've been using them everyday! So far I've lost 1.5 lbs! Not much but it's a start!

So many updates!!!

So I've been so busy I haven't blogged in a while! So here's some updates:

I got that job I interviewed for. I'll be nannying for boy/girl twins Jill and Josh. I get all government holidays paid and off, 2 weeks paid vacations, unlimited sick days, gas stipend, Fridays off, and it's more money an hour =)

I'm excited to start my new job but really sad about leaving Oscar and Nason. They have been such a huge part of my life that it's going to be so tough to not be able to see them everyday =(

My last day is on Wednes April 30 and I'll be starting my new job on May 12 so I'll have 2 1/2 weeks off which will be so nice too bad Cory's back at work!

Pretty Cool Day =)

I had an interview today and managed to get lost on my way! In my defense the directions weren't all that good!! But no biggie!

I get a phone call from my friend Amanda (she was a bm in my wedding and we've been friends since the 3rd grade). Asking me how I was feeling? Last night our friends were over and I had the worst migraine EVER!! I couldn't open my eyes =( She said she had something to ask me but didn't want to do it on the phone and last night she wanted to ask me when we were alone and that didn't really happen. She asked me if I'd be a bridesmaid!!!! I of course said Yes! I can't wait!! I'm super excited. She and her FI are one of me and Cory's great friends. Amanda, PJ (her FI) and I have all known eachother since elementary school.

My interview: I think it really went well! I hope I get the jobs. So ladies send me them vibes!!! I've been kind of stressed about finding a job so this would of course alleviate my stress level. The family was super nice and I only got to meet on of the children and she is a doll!

New Furbaby!!

I've loved animals since I could remember and I could never get any pets growing up besides fish. So now that I have a house I can do what I want =) hehe! Cory and I bought Bruno (our oldest furbaby, who's 3) and love having a boxer!

We knew that Bruno needed a friend he's been so sad and we feel bad that he's all by his lonesome when we're at work. Bosco needed a family and we're more than happy to provide!! Bosco's also a boxer he's almost 7 months!!

Bosco's my little baby! I love him!! Bruno loves him too! All day long they play so I'm glad Bruno has a pal.

Cory spent a week at home with Bosco and I'm glad he did that! They were able to bond. This first week Bosco had a bunch of accidents during the first 4 days. Now he's doing fantastic!! The only time he pees is when he has happy pee!

I have always loved cooking and baking! Both of my parents are excellent cooks! Back in the day my dad was a cook for a hotel in Portugal! Since getting married I have tried to be a great house-wife and come up with new ideas for dinner. So feel free to try out some recipes so change them up; I don't mind ;)
